In your opinion people that brag????

help me out- my husband has been bragging a lot about himself lately, like CONSTANTLY asking, do i look sexy, how good do i look in this and that or what do you think about my hair do?? I have always complemented him before in the past but for the last couple weeks he's been overdoing the begging for compliments. Do you think it's a self-esteem issue he's having or does he just want to bug the heck outta me??? Thanks!

I was thinking it was a self-esteem issue until I got to the line where he's saying "I'm too good for ya." That is a horse of a different color. When he starts to put you down, he's starting into the very early stages of abuse. A person with low self-esteem is a prime candidate for an abuser. For now, I realize it's just words; but if it's started to happen more often (the whole thing, not just that phrase) something has changed in his life that has dealt a blow to his self esteem, and my guess is that he's close to abuse.

I hope I'm wrong, but I've seen it before, so keep your eyes open.

what an @sshole. tell him that if he wants someone to stroke his ego, than its not gonna be you. tell him off. he needs to be put in his place.

Tell him to shut the hell up and the only reason he is desperately seeking compliments is because he has no confidence and just wants the world to accept him.
