Keeping up with appearances?

My friend is 65 years old right now. Is it true that during her time, it was all about keeping up with appearances and keeping your chin up when things are not going well?

Does this explain why she is beautifully dressed everyday and she never shows her grey hair roots?

Also, does this explain why she loves it when I call her beautiful, gorgeous, foxy, sexy, etc? Her face and eyes just go wild.

Um, I think that's because she's a woman. We are nurturers naturally and also like to be nurtured. I don't think there's anything wrong with her wanting to look beautiful everyday. And keeping your chin up everyday is awesome, but we all have our days. She loves herself, what's wrong with that??

That is exactly right. My grandmother never left the house...or motorhome when camping with out first, "putting on her face." Her favorite saying..."Pride is painful."

As for the eyes lighting up, I would tend to think like any woman she likes to hear positive things said about the way she looks that plus it may have been awhile since she has been with a guy so she may be interested in you.
